seville is the capital of andalusia and spain’s 4th largest city. originally founded as a roman city it fell to an islamic conquest in the 8th century and even today the mix of architecture is evident in the UNESCO world heritage site that includes the impressive cathedral and adjoining bell tower. the city walls and gates were built during julius caesar’s reign. now famous for culture with numerous parks and open spaces, bustling resturants, tapas and roof-top bars, seville is the perfect place to visit with lovely “winter’ temperatures.
